A life in music.

Guitarist, acoustic guitarist, composer and producer Roberto Rosemberg developed his musical language through classical training, jazz and Brazilian music.

BIOGRAPHY

Training, exploration and the stage.

Roberto began his musical training at the age of eight, studying classical piano. He later taught himself acoustic guitar.

He studied with conductor Aluísio Didier and also attended courses at Pró-Arte and Instituto Villa-Lobos in Rio de Janeiro. His desire to deepen his studies and experience other cultures took him to Boston, United States, where he attended Berklee College of Music from 1981 to 1984.

In 1983, he formed the Latin jazz band Samambaia. From that experience onward, he developed a career connecting jazz, blues, Brazilian music and Afro-Latin rhythms.

Since 1990, he has pursued an original career that includes the album Circular, different line-ups and a constant presence in Rio de Janeiro’s instrumental music scene.
